Beginning May 7th you’ll find some wonderful new classes and faces at Nava. If you haven’t tried Julie Doiron‘s Ashtanga classes, you’re in for a treat! Julie is super passionate about yoga. Her classes are challenging, yet accessible. She’s offering a Beginner Ashtanga class for those who have never tried this tradition of yoga. Expect a class that warms the body and offers a sense of progress as you learn more each week. Julie will also be offering an Ashtanga Level 1, (for those who have some ashtanga experience), and a Mysore class, which is a self-guided Ashtanga practice with Julie there to offer guidance, and adjustments as needed. The Mysore will be a ‘pay what you can’ class.
Stu Murray will also be joining the Nava team this summer! Stu is a warm and light-hearted fellow who just returned to New Brunswick after some epic adventures abroad. He completed his 200 hour and 500 hour teacher trainings in India, studying Sivinanda Yoga, Hatha, Vinyasa and Therapeutic Yoga. He will offering classes on Fridays- a morning Vinyasa, a noon Yoga for Kids class, and a Gentle Hearts class from 5:30- 6:45.
Nancy Burkhart will also be part of our community at Nava. Nancy teaches a Kripalu-based practice, focusing on a mindful, non-judgmental, and self-compassionate practice. Nancy and I (Leanne) will be offering a ‘pay what you can’ class on Wednesdays at noon. Once the weather warms up, the class will take place outside the studio in the glorious summer sun. Until then, and on rainy days, it will continue to take place in our beautiful studio space.
And I (Leanne), will continue to offer popular classes such as Core and Back, Vinyasa, Stretch and Unwind, and Gentle Hearts. In partnership with the Tantramar Family Resource Centre and the Province of New Brunswick, I am excited to be offering free programing for middle and high school aged youth!
